The Harry Chaos Story
As a kid growing up in Ballarat Victoria, like a lot of kids, I always got my older brothers hand me downs. Which I was always stoked on. Thing was, my brother had this habit of pulling down on the front of the shirt, which would stretch the neck rib, so by the time he was done with it I didn’t even want to wear it. I hated watching him wreck the clothes that I’d end up with one day, ha ha!
Even when I was young I didn’t really care about the print or design on a tee, it was all in the fabric and fit. My Mum had this plain white t-shirt that I’d steal all the time, just because the fit was that good, I didn’t give a shit that it was a chicks tee…it felt good, so I wore it.
I also struggled to find clothes that would fit me the way I wanted them to. I was really skinny kid, and very picky on the way I wanted the clothes to sit. With a big blue birthmark on my chest and neck, I wore collared shirts more than tees, I was so self conscious about it.
I remember one day Mum was letting me pick a few tees for myself, I think I was around the age of 15/16, standing in the clothing store in Ballarat, thinking about how good it would be to own my own clothing label, one where I could design everything myself. That way I know I’d like the fit, fabric and colour.
That’s why I wanted to start this brand. Premium quality, nothing less.
This is Harry Chaos. This is my dream. This is my creation.
